PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A newly released indictment against a man accused of killing three women provides when the victims were killed and when their bodies were dumped. Earlier this month, Jesse Lee Calhoun was charged with the second-degree murders of 24-year-old Charity Lynn Perry, 32-year-old JoAnna Speaks and 31-year-old Bridget LeAnne Webster. Calhoun is also charged with three counts of second-degree abuse of a corpse. In a two-page indictment released Friday, prosecutors relied on the testimonies of 16 witnesses that were presented to a grand jury.

The Pennsylvania jail from which convicted murderer Danilo Cavalcante brazenly escaped, eluding searchers for two weeks, plans to enclose its exercise yards with walls and a roof and make inmates wear brighter uniforms, along with other security improvements. The Chester County jail board unanimously approved plans Wednesday to fully enclose the exercise yards at the facility in Pocopson, southwest of Philadelphia. Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — A civil lawsuit has been filed against former Somerset County District Attorney Jeffrey Thomas, Somerset County and the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office. In the suit filed Sept. 15, the plaintiff, who is listed as Jane Doe, seeks compensation for nine counts stemming from a Sept. 18, 2021 incident at the woman’s home. The suit also alleges that Somerset County officials had known that Thomas had a history of being “disrespectful, sexually harassing and even assaultive to women” prior to the 2021 incident.

(WPDE) — UPDATE: Plane that made emergency landing on Hwy 501 operated by flight school A plane landed Wednesday on Highway 501 in the Carolina Forest area due to engine failure, according to audio obtained from LiveATC.net. ABC15 listened to the live Air Traffic Control net audio between the tower and the pilot before the plane landed. The audio revealed the pilot said he had engine failure and he was going to land on the highway.

PITTSBURGH (AP/WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler retired on Saturday, less than a week after his 19th season with the team ended in a blowout playoff loss to Kansas City. The 65-year-old Butler, who spent 10 seasons as a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks in the 1970s and 80s before getting into coaching, helped the Steelers win two Super Bowls and reach another during his nearly two decades with the team.
