CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Morrisdale woman has been charged with shooting her husband and then claiming he killed himself so she could get access to a million-dollar will, investigators say. Clearfield County District Attorney William Shaw tells 6 News that 46-year-old Kimberly Williams, of Morrisdale, faces multiple charges in the slaying of her husband, Ronald Williams Jr. The case was originally reported as a suicide, but ballistics evidence led investigators to rule it a homicide.

Reproductive rights rally held outside Johnstown Planned Parenthood

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week, many have spoken out nationwide, both for and against the decision. In Johnstown, a protest was held outside the Planned Parenthood Thursday afternoon. 18-year-old Texas woman accused of shooting her mom on Mother's Day: police

HOUSTON, Texas (TND) — A Texas woman was arrested for shooting her mother on Mother's Day, according to authorities. The Houston Police Department said 18-year-old Trinity Calhoun was charged with aggravated assault of a family member. PIAA to change how they determine school athletic classifications

The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association made some changes this week to how they will determine athletic classifications. 1-A through 6-A classifications are counted by a school's enrollment or number of students. Until now, when making classifications, the PIAA only counted 10% of students that lived in the school district but did not physically go to that school for athletic enrollment. Now, they will factor in all cyber, charter, home schooled, and vo-tech students towards that number when making the classifications.

Two area career and tech schools closing or moving to remote learning

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Two local career and technical schools will be transitioning to remote learning, or closing, due to the increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the area. Officials with the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center say high school students will begin remote learning next week because of school closures around the area. 8 transported following fire at Richland Township nursing home

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — 911 officials in Cambria County say eight people were transported to Conemaugh Hospital Tuesday night following a fire at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Authorities say the fire broke out just before 8 p.m. at the nursing care facility, which is located along the 300 block of Vo Tech Drive in Richland Township. Richland Fire Chief Wes Myers says the fire started near a HVAC unit and crews were able to contain the blaze to a singular room, which sustained smoke damage.
