EMPORIUM, Pa. (WJAC) — A winery is celebrating its grand opening this weekend in Emporium, Cameron County.
The Rich Valley Winery is on Route 120 downtown. The owners say they started beekeeping nearly 10 years ago but wanted to get into the wine business, too.
They say they wanted to distance themselves from big wineries by offering products people want.
"Pennsylvania Wine Land wants to become that new Finger Lakes,” said Ryan Magaro.

HARRISBURG, Pa (WJAC) — Pennsylvania State Police on Thursday announced the death of Trooper Dung X. Martinez, who passed away after being hospitalized.
Trooper Martinez, 57, was assigned to Troop T in the King of Prussia area.

ASHBURN, Va. (WJLA) — Loudoun County Sheriff’s officials are investigatinganti-Israel and pro-Palestine graffiti and property damage that occurred at four Starbucks stores in Ashburn overnight Monday.
The outside of the stores were spray painted with various words and symbols, according to officials. The graffiti was removed or covered by store employees.
Employees reported the incidents after arriving at work on Tuesday morning, officials said. Sheriff’s officials said they believe the incidents are related.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Monday was "Kids’ Day" at the 148th Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair.
This year's "Miss Congeniality," Mackenzie Peters, and ambassador Haley Zeigler spent time doing arts and crafts with children.
Zeigler is a 2021 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and says she has been coming to the fair her entire life.
She says she got involved with the fair queen competition because she looked up to past contestants.
MANHEIM, Pa. (AP) — Police say a man was found in the trunk of a car that arrived to be sold at a Pennsylvania auto auction.
Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Chief David Steffen said the man is being treated at a hospital and is expected to be released. He isn't identifying the man or the nature of the treatment or his injuries.
Workers who were inspecting the vehicle found the man Thursday at the massive Manheim Auto Auction facility, about 90 miles (130 kilometers) west of Philadelphia.
PLAINVIEW, Texas (CITC) — A community is outraged over a Texas school district's response to what they feel was a case of sexual assault among first-grade students.
Parents allege that a female 6-year-old student in the Plainview Independent School District (Plainview ISD) was recorded on an iPad while being forced to perform a sexual act on a male classmate last month. Once the incident was reported, the video was reviewed with the assistance of local law enforcement and FBI.
