Russell Wilson is heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Steelers, a person familiar with the details told The Associated Press on Sunday night. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because the contract hasn't been finalized, said Wilson will receive the veteran's minimum of $1.21 million while the Denver Broncos pay the remainder of his $39 million salary.

Cambria County coroner's office gets new safety gear with grant money

The Cambria County Coroner's Office unveiled new gear Wednesday to help keep their staff safe on calls. Coroner Jeff Lees showcased the five sets of brand-new gear for his office. The gear cost nearly $10,000 and includes coats, pants, boots and gloves. Lees says the gear was bought with grant money, meaning there's no cost to taxpayers. He says his office received the grant for taking time to provide statistical data about deaths to the Department of Health.

WASHINGTON (TND) — The House Judiciary Committee voted to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress after the White House blocked access to an audio recorded interview between Special Counsel Robert Hur and President Joe Biden. "The department has a legal obligation to turn over the requested materials pursuant to the subpoena," Rep. Jim Jordan, the GOP chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said during the hearing. "Attorney General Garland's willful refusal to comply with our subpoena constitutes contempt of Congress.

Judge threatened to toss defense witness out for 'contemptuous' behavior

NEW YORK (AP) — The judge in Donald Trump's hush money trial cleared the courtroom of reporters Monday and then threatened to remove the defense's witness from the trial altogether because of his behavior on the stand, a court transcript later showed. Judge Juan M. Merchan told Robert Costello, a former federal prosecutor, that his conduct was “contemptuous right now." Costello aggravated Merchan repeatedly in his testimony by making comments under his breath and continuing to speak after objections were sustained — a signal to witnesses to stop talking.

New Japanese Steakhouse opening in Richland

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A new hibachi restaurant is coming to Cambria County. The new restaurant will be located in the former Ponderosa building in Richland. Kabuki Japanese Cuisine will feature 13 hibachi grills and a sushi bar. Owner Tom Chen says they’ve spent the past year renovating the building. “We are very excited with the way it turned out,” says Chen. “Great thought went into the design including a special smokeless underground exhaust system for customer comfort and safety.

Patrick-Swift to leave Saint Francis after 7 seasons

LORETTO -- Saint Francis Softball Head Coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift has accepted an offer to become the Head Coach of the NC State Softball program. Patrick-Swift led the Red Flash to new heights during her seven years as the leader of the program, including back-to-back NEC Titles. Patrick-Swift ended her tenure in Loretto with a 226-152 record over seven seasons, holding SFU program records for wins and win percentage (.597). She led the Red Flash to its first ever NEC Title, NCAA Tournament appearance and NCAA Tournament win in 2017, while setting an SFU and NEC season record with 49 wins and becoming the first NEC team to go undefeated in conference play.

(WPDE) — UPDATE: Plane that made emergency landing on Hwy 501 operated by flight school A plane landed Wednesday on Highway 501 in the Carolina Forest area due to engine failure, according to audio obtained from LiveATC.net. ABC15 listened to the live Air Traffic Control net audio between the tower and the pilot before the plane landed. The audio revealed the pilot said he had engine failure and he was going to land on the highway.
